Integrity Is Spelled N-S-F-W

You may have noticed a few small changes around the old blog since your last visit. Most notably, The Book Of Lies is now officially labeled NSFW, meaning you'll have to go through an extra step (one mouse click) in order to actually view the blog every time you visit. I had to make this change in order to prevent my beloved blog from being deleted by the powers that be, who had had enough of my shenanigans. The final straw was the Showgirls GIF I featured in this post, which is actually quite graphic due to the simple fact that actress Elizabeth Berkley chose not to wear any underwear in the sequence presented.

This was really a long time coming, I suppose, as I chose to populate this blog with more and more images of nude and semi-nude women in lieu of anything resembling worthwhile content to the discerning reader. I've said it before, but The Book Of Lies never had a mission statement. There's no grand design here. The blog changes as I change, and it seems that over the years, I've transformed into some sort of pervert. So instead of moving beyond this semi-pornographic valley, I've decided to stay put for a while longer, and maybe put down some roots, because it's more comfortable, and I like the view.

I understand this decision will cost me some readers, reducing my audience from "nobody" to "somehow fewer than nobody", but I'm not bothered. This is a fucking blog, after all, and not terribly important in the grand scheme of things.

In addition to the format change here, I've created another blog over on Tumblr, which will serve primarily as a regularly-updated photo stream, in case you actually enjoy what I'm doing here and would like to see more of it. You can visit it here, or you can always find a link over on the right, along with links to my brand-new Twitter feed, YouTube channel, and both currently active podcasts, Lies My Podcast Told Me and Celluloid Cellar.

Speaking of podcasts, as a bonus for sticking around, I'm giving you the gift of two all-new episodes of Celluloid Cellar, because I'm such a nice guy. Our first episode deals primarily with some of actor Tim Thomerson's career highlights, mainly Dollman and Near Dark. Uwe Boll is also mentioned, as is everybody's favorite helmsman, Hikaru Sulu. It's hilarious:

Celluloid Cellar: Dollman Vs. Bloodrayne

Up next is a delightfully scattershot installment that covers such topics as the moral quandary of enjoying Ilsa: She-Wolf Of The S.S., the careers of actors William Ragsdale and Andrew McCarthy, and Sylvester Stallone's madcap romp, the cinematic fever dream that is Cobra. It, too, is hilarious:

Celluloid Cellar: William Ragsdale, She-Wolf Of The S.S.

That's all I've got for now, boys and girls. It's an exciting new day here at The Book Of Lies, and I do hope you'll join me on this twisted journey into madness and perversion. It's going to be a bloodbath.

TIME MARCHES ON!

  1. So are you turning this into some lame porn blog to get more hits or something? I don't know what this is.
